In general, I would say I’m pretty good when it comes to change. But, if it has anything to do with technology that might cause me to change my ways—or to read lengthy instructions—I loathe it.
If you use it, you’ve probably heard by now that Google Reader is going away forever next week. July 1st, to be exact. And, I don’t want this to be the cause of our break up. So, here are some ways we can keep this going:
Change to a different blog reader.
Cassie compiled a good list of alternatives and how-to instructions for switching over. So, I’ll just let you read her post, instead of embarrassing myself by trying to act like I know what I’m talking about. (I never use a reader to keep up with my favorite blogs…Maybe I should start.)
It seems like the most popular alternative to Google Reader may be BlogLovin’. You can follow me that way here:
Follow me through Google Friend Connect.
I’ve always been a little confused about the connection between Google Reader and Google Friend Connect. But, they are actually separate things. If you added a blog to your Google Reader, it would automatically show up on your Blogger Reading List. Google Friend Connect (for Blogger) is sticking around, though, and you can still follow along that way.
Or, you could subscribe to my posts and get them in your inbox.
Look for this box on my sidebar.
And, if you happen to be my parents, mine is the only blog you read, anyway. So, just ignore all of this and carry on.
So, how do you keep up with your blog reading?
