Why you might reconsider before getting rid of an old sofa table. (I love when furniture is used in unexpected ways and places.)
A really good Ballard Designs headboard knock-off for just $75, and with the help of a handy husband.
On being “real” as a blogger. And, as a person. I always like that.
I swear I totally already invented these in my head and now, I found them online (and currently out of stock). There goes my fortune! Have you used them? I detest loading and unloading 101 bags every time I go to the grocery.
I’m pretty sure I’m getting ready to paint something in my house some form of minty green. The more I see it everywhere, the more I like it. For now, I’m just putting it on my feet. (And, they’re on sale. And, they look slightly lighter green in person.)
I’m not canning anything, but Ball sent me a 6-pack of their limited edition blue pint jars that they’re making to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the “perfect mason jar.” I just like the blue they bring to my patio, where I’ve been playing around with them, waiting for it to feel like Spring. They can be pre-ordered here.

I love the use of the table in the pantry! So unexpected and charming! Great roundup today, Emily! Have a wonderful weekend.

ReplyDeleteGreat picks again! I love the table like Ashley said. Great use for something you already have, love it!
ReplyDeletejust love those shopping cart bags! Cute and functional!! nice!
ReplyDeleteGreat links! I love those flats--so happy to be putting away my boots soon. :)
ReplyDeleteAbout those grocery bags. . . I have two and they aren't good for your weekly shopping trips. For a small trip without lots of heavy meat or drinks etc. they are fine. I have mine stashed somewhere because we are a family of five and I shop once a week. They would be your quick trip to Aldi kind of bags.
ReplyDeleteBoo, I was afraid of that. I'm actually thinking that someone would need to invent some type of crate for my grocery trips.... Thanks for letting me know.
DeleteAdding those flats to my shopping trip to Kohl's today. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI love the pantry and the table, how organized...I need to do this to my pantry ! Thanks for sharing !
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy this series. Isn't that bed awesome?
ReplyDeleteloving your Saturday 6 series. look forward to it every week...good stuff. thanks and have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteLove all these things - wonder if those grocery cart bags would hold up to a lot of weight? either way they are pretty darn smart!
ReplyDeleteDoesn't look like it--see previous comment from Sheri....
DeleteSo excited to be included in your Saturday 6- Thank you!!
ReplyDeleteYou're very welcome. Beautiful bed!
DeleteOf all the bloggers I follow, I like you the best. I love your babys' fuzzy hair. I love how down to earth you are. I think you'd be a fun friend. I'm a fan!
ReplyDeleteAnd, I like that you like me because my babies have fuzzy hair :)
DeleteJust got back from ordering my blue Ball jars!! I will use them for jam this year, they're so pretty, thanks! Love your Saturday 6.
ReplyDeleteJune :)
Great post. I found your blog and love it. I have a question if you dont mind, I have started finding pieces and giving them a new life. I love it but the problem is I have no where to put them. Do you have any suggestions on how to sell them so I dont have to stop. Thanks so much, Erica

Do you have a local consignment shop or booth rental thrift store? I would love to do that someday but of course, that's years down the road at this point....
DeleteA friend of my daughter's is selling items that she is redoing on Craigslist and doing very well.
DeleteA Facebook page works well also!
DeleteI love those blue jars, I'll need something like that too. I'm changing the color scheme in the living room and still need more color. : )
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm right there with you about the mint green. The more I see it... unfortunately I can't paint much here, we are renting. But I was also looking at shoes the other day : )
#1--I just want a pantry like that with or without the table!
ReplyDelete#4--I think these are a great idea but I seriously doubt I could haul them into the house fully loaded. The bag boys load up my reusable bags until I can hardly carry them and they are much smaller.
#6--Yes! I want dozens of those blue jars because I just bought a pressure canner and I am so ready to get to canning!
Love todays post! So sad that the ball jars are all sold out already! ;0(
ReplyDeleteI've always admired that cute headboard in the Ballard catalog. Will have to hop over and check out the DIY version. I got a jigsaw for Xmas and have been eager to try it out on a headboard for my son's room.
ReplyDeleteOn the grocery bags-- I have some larger, but manageable grocery bags that I got from Whole Foods and Hannaford (a grocery store in Upstate NY)and this one: http://www.reuseit.com/store/baggu-large-reusable-shopping-p-1812.html?slave_id=1813&gclid=CKXLjce0lrYCFY4-Mgod4F8ADA
ReplyDeleteI can get all of our weekly groceries in 5-6 of the bags (instead of like 50 plastic ones).
I'm just slightly obsessed with mint at the moment too. Those flats are so cute!
ReplyDeleteHi! You know, Home Depot sells bags like the ones you showed (that clip to either side of the grocery cart)in their store for only about $1! At least they used to... I bought two of them a few months ago, and they are great! I get tons of grocery items in them.

ReplyDeleteI am loving this Saturday sic- I always get excited when the post pops up. Love the flats! Also, I really enjoyed that post about the "during". My friend Erin also linked to it, and it is so encouraging. I think we get caught up in only showing the perfect Pinterest-ready spaces and lives, when real life is so much more interesting!
