2012: It’s Been a Good One

I always spend the last day of the year being sentimental over the days gone by.  This year, I’m overwhelmed when I think about the blessings we’ve received.  I’m also thankful to you for letting me share some of it—even the stuff that has nothing to do with decorating.

Here’s a little look back at some of the highlights of our year. . .

I can’t believe another 12 months of blogging have gone by.  Here’s a little round-up of some of my favorite posts and projects from the past year:

Around Our House (Dec. edition)

I have to admit, I’ve enjoyed my week off.  No alarm clocks (unless you count the babies), no lunches to pack, no schedules.  I’ve even watched a couple of movies and am reading a book.  Heaven!  Of course, by next week, I may be ready for school to start again. . .

In case you missed anything in the midst of the Christmas rush, here’s a quick look back at what happened around our house this past month:

I hope you’ve had as fun of a Christmas day as we have.  I’m just popping in to remind you about the “Best Curators of 2012” sale event that starts now on Joss & Main.  They are offering some of the most popular items from my sale earlier this year, as well as some from other bloggers and designers.

I’m signing off until after Christmas, so I just wanted to thank you all for reading this year.  So grateful for each of you, my virtual friends.  Merry Christmas from the Clark house!

PSIf you’re partied out by Christmas night, I’ll be part of  the “Best Curators of 2012” sale event on Joss and Main that starts at 9pm (EST) on 12/25 and would love for you to check it out.  If you haven’t previously shopped on the site, you can sign up for a free membership here.

Help Sandy Hook

I saw this on Caitlin’s blog earlier today and wanted to share with you all.  The women of the site Small Fry and the flash sale site Brickyard Buffalo have teamed up to show their support for Newtown, CT, by compiling a collection of downloadable prints by different artists for $5 each.  All of the proceeds will go to the Sandy Hook School Support Fund through United Way

I’m buying this one to mix into the wall of my kids’ artwork.  I think it’ll be a sweet reminder each time I walk by.

The sale will run through Dec. 26th.

(And, an easy last minute Christmas gift idea.  Print and frame!)

Our Christmas House 2012

Since I can’t invite (most of) you over, I put together a group of photos I’ve taken around our Christmas house over the last month—some new, and many of which you’ve already seen. . . .

Remember those free pumpkins I found a couple of years ago?  Inspired by this porch, I turned them upside down, covered them with lights and stuck them in our planters.

The kids begged for blinking, colored lights.  So, I gave in and Daddy decorated their swing set.
