She’s probably going to kill me someday for posting these, but I know other moms will appreciate the Halloween photo that wasn’t meant to be. I tried to get a group shot before heading to the Fall festival this past weekend, and it ended up being one of those moments that makes you want to cry while it’s happening but laugh hysterically when you look back. . .
I’ll just call this series of photos “DJ Lance Throws a Hissy Fit”:
To be honest, I can’t even remember what she was so mad about. . .

hillarious! Sterling went as DJ Lnace last year, my parents were so confused like who is he supposed to be? Love that last picture, she posed but is still mad! haha!
ReplyDeleteOh my! Love your family! You are blessed....but you already knew that....I only have 2 of my 4 that still dress up, and I am trying to capture every last second of it! Happy Halloween Clark family!~Kim
ReplyDeleteWell we all know who the real showstopper is in the family! We all have one- mine just happens to look like Batman this year, not DJ Lance :)
ReplyDeleteOne Thanksgiving we took a picture of my 3 girls with their cousins and my mother. I thought it would be a nice family picture until my youngest daughter had a hissy fit crying and carrying on. I took the picture anyway to show her years later. Yup, I went there.
ReplyDeleteThose pictures are so fantastic. Sort of way better than a totally posed picture since it really tells the story of the moment. Although, I have been there, trying to just get one picture and it is very frustrating at the moment!

Great pictures. Check out what I did with "old" halloween photos over at www.mabelandjean.com!
ReplyDeleteMy siblings may not talk to me for years.
That is precious! So much better than "perfectly behaved" children.
ReplyDeletehaha, that is so funny, love the last one!
ReplyDeleteOh good gracious alive did that make me laugh outloud. And look at your sweet babes looking right at the camera like pros. LOVE IT ALL!
ReplyDeleteLove it! These are better than the posed, everyone's happy and smiling ones anyway:)
ReplyDeleteLove it!

ReplyDeletePhotos such as these make the most wonderful memories! I can't imagine life without photography. Love your blog BTW.
ReplyDeleteToo cute! Happy blog anniversary, by the way!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love this! What a crack up!
ReplyDeleteOne word for this...Hilarious! I know it wasn't to you at the time, but looking at the pictures, I feel like I am getting a little glimpse into my life lived by someone else.
ReplyDeleteOMG!! Hilarious!! I live in NYC and after reading countless news articles about all the damage inflicted by Sandy, this post made me laugh! Your kids are SO cute!
ReplyDeleteI love these pictures!!! And love your blog btw :)
ReplyDeleteThat last one is hilarious! I'm just impressed everyone is looking at the camera, especially the babies. I have more profile pictures of my kids than anything. Even if they are facing the camera their eyes are looking to the side. I need to start cutting and pasting heads in photoshop!
ReplyDeleteSo funny! Love your older daughter's expression in the third photo...looks like she's rolling her eyes at little sis. The last one is definitely portrait worthy! One of our favorite family portraits is my little sister when she was two-all dressed up and frilly with the biggest pout on her face! Such a sweet family!
ReplyDeleteI love memories like this! It's the truth and I love that you're keeping it real :)
ReplyDeleteI love it! I totally know what you mean about the crying then laughing - it happens a lot to us moms huh?
ReplyDeleteThat is HILARIOUS! I love your kids costumes, blue man and dj lance rock are the best!!!

Those are precious!!! And so nice to know other people have epic fails when it comes to multi-children group shots. The last one is a framer.
ReplyDeleteROTFL! That is so cute. You know what's scary, the twins are in the background taking notes :)
ReplyDeleteThat is soooo true. This could be scary!
Deletehilarious -- that is a nice hissy fit! have fun tonight!!
ReplyDeleteHow sweet! :) Your twins are getting so big. Tantrums always come at the best times, right? :) But you're right- you always laugh about it later, just not in the moment. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is TOO funny! I was with my niece over the weekend, and she threw a huge tantrum at the park. Arched back, beet red, the whole enchilada... she's only two but I couldn't help but laugh. Happy Halloween!

ReplyDeleteMy 10 year old is home sick today and we both just laughed so hard at this...especially that last picture!!! I have 3 kids and if I had twins, I'm pretty sure my 6 year old Lilly would be just like your 3rd child. Save that last one for her senior slide show! Just too funny!!!
ReplyDeleteLOL! They are so cute and yes even the one who is throwing a hissy fit! These are the photos that you'll love when they are older.

ReplyDeleteThis is hilarious and reminds me of my second daughter. We are always begging her to Puh-lease just get in the picture and smile. We have many pictures of her red-eyed and/or frowning. :)
ReplyDeleteWell, Miss Emily, you've done it again. Made me laugh AND made me feel normal.
