Today, I’m sharing some behind the scenes moments from our Better Homes & Gardens shoot over on the BHG Style Spotters blog.
To celebrate our 15 minutes of fame, my husband surprised me by having the article framed :)
I’m debating on where to hang it in our house since my office doesn’t have much wall space. See this doorway? I’m thinking the hall leading to the master bedroom might be the perfect spot . . .
Once we possibly paint stripes. . .

My husband is probably breaking out in a cold sweat thinking of all the fun we’ll have measuring and taping. (We’ve bonded over painting stripes before.) I’m breaking it to him over the blog instead of in person, hoping he’ll have some time to process it before he gets home from work. :)

what a sweet husband! I'm 9 months preggo and have been driving my husband crazy with all my projects around the house....but he looks sooo good with a saw or a paintbrush in his hand!!
ReplyDeleteHow thoughtful of him! And how wonderful this opportunity must have been for you! Congrats!

Breaking it to him over the blog :) I do that too.
ReplyDeleteI painted stripes down a hallway last fall...and I love them! So sweet of your hubby to make you that collage...it will look great on your new stripes! :)
ReplyDeleteI often break new projects to my husband via blog. So much more fun that way!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet idea to have that framed! I love the idea of having it on that wall. And adding stripes would be beautiful! My husband and I have definitely done a few striped projects in our day! I just remind him what a wonderful husband he is and that we're almost done! The end is in site :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet thing to do! And, I think stripes would look fantastic. Might need to do that in our back hallway as well.
ReplyDeleteHave you heard of that U Stripe it Kit? I dont know much about it, but saw a you-tube video on it and thought it was cool. Apparently it makes painting stripes easy-peasy. Heres the link: http://www.ustripeit.com/
ReplyDeleteIm curious to know if it works or its one of those dumb infomercials that sells crap to dopes like me at 2am-you know I *awlays* use my "insta-egg peeler" phush!
How sweet! Cracks me up your are communicating what's he in for via your blog!
ReplyDeleteJust read the behind-the-scenes feature over at the BHG website. The funny thing is, when I read the article in the magazine, and saw your little daughter under the table in the BHG photo, I thought how adorable that shot was, and I wondered how in the world they got her to pose like that! :-) Just goes to show that the things we stress about so often work themselves out just fine. I'm sure in years to come, you will especially treasure that unique shot of your sweet kids!
ReplyDeleteWhat a super sweet hubby!!
ReplyDeleteI'm actually thankful Baileyhusband can't even turn a computer on, let alone read my blog!:) He just asks that I don't post any embarassing pics of him;)
ReplyDeleteHope you get your stripes! I have a feeling you will!

He is so sweet to do this! That STRIPED hallway is the perfect place to put this! Have a great day, and hope your family is doing well. Do you have a nanny yet?

Brills! I love breaking things (or hinting about them) to my husband over the blog!!
ReplyDeleteMy advice about the stripes is: just do it! I painted horizontal stripes on our entryway/hallway leading to the bedrooms last spring and absolutely love them. Everyone who comes over always comments on them and how cool they look.
ReplyDeleteI did it alone though-my hubby was out of state for a couple months for work and I was bored at night:)
(Luckily he likes them since I didn't even clear it with him first)
