After surviving the surprise of twins, we thought my husband deserved his own little getaway spot for Father’s Day this year. These two trees in the corner of our yard seemed like the perfect spot:
I ordered this Sunbrella hammock from Joss & Main. (I have become a little addicted to this site lately. You never know what deal is going to pop up that day. . . If you haven’t signed up yet, you can do it here. You can also earn credit when your friends sign up and make a purchase!)
(I had the outdoor pillows made; the coral fabric is Waverly--I think--and I’m not sure about the black.)
So far, everyone except for Daddy, has enjoyed their turn on it. I’m sure he’ll get his chance in the next 15 to 20 years or so. . .

Ha!! Poor Daddy! My daughter and I got my husband an iPad for Father's Day. He has used it significantly less than we have! Poor Dads!!!! It is a cozy spot and perfect for the hammock. I hope you are all doing well!
ReplyDeleteI am so addicted to both Joss and Main and One King's Lane. It's a sickness!
ReplyDeleteMy husband has always wanted a cozy hammock for our backyard too. But we're holding out until our missions trip to Central America in a few weeks. We've heard its an amazing place to get a handcrafted one very inexpensively:)
ReplyDeleteOh and I'm pretty sure that black and white fabric can be tracked down at JoAnns.
I want a hammock so badly! First we have to have a nice yard though- our backyard is the size of a shoebox and has been taken over by our dogs. Someday....
ReplyDeleteYour little twiners are so dang cute! (as are your other 3!) I hope you're getting some sleep! :)

Fun post! they look so cute :) did you purchase the hammock or a DIY? i think it'll be so fun if you do a hammock DIY!
ReplyDeleteMy husband and daughter have been talking about buying a hammock ever since the weather started getting warmer. I wouldn't have thought to search Joss & Main, so thanks for the tip! Maybe I'll have to surprise them both! The accent pillows are such a beautiful touch too!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like the perfect spot to hang out.....and it definitely looks like they are enjoying it.
ReplyDeleteI love hammocks although I don't own one. That looks like a perfect spot to lounge with a good book and well even catch some zzz's.
ReplyDeleteMy husband loves a good hammock!! We are buying our first house in the next few months and he is already requesting one!!
ReplyDeleteI am a new follower to your blog and cannot wait to read your upcoming blogs!
twins? I think I missed a post or two! Congrat's! And when do you find time to blog? Bless all dads!
ReplyDeleteWhat an idyllic spot and a great Father's Day gift.
ReplyDeleteJust finished my July BH&G and was so happy to finally see your feature! Congrats!
Whenever I see a hammock I think of the line from that old Sinatra tune "summertime and the living is easy".
ReplyDeleteso so cute ~ Daddy needs a turn :)
ReplyDeleteHopefully dad gets a turn soon. I love the outdoor pillows you've made.
