First Photoshoot

I’m quickly learning that life with five kids means I may never have a “bored moment” ever again; thus, the complete lack of blog posts last week.  I don’t know if I’m still on official maternity leave or not (what is the official “maternity leave" rule when you blog?), but I think I’ll try to ease back into posting slowly.  (Ignore typos, random thoughts, etc.  Lack of sleep can make you kind of stupid, you know.)

While I was taking last week off, we were lucky enough to have Lindsay Hart of Hart to Hart Digital Photography (one of my sponsors) come to our house to photograph the twins.  I’ve never had professional newborn photographs made of any of my babies, so it was fun to watch her work.

I learned that newborn photography requires lots of patience and results in a load of laundry (for the photographer) at the end of the shoot.  (Lindsay, sorry about your blanket.)

Lindsay was headed to Italy(!) to shoot a wedding after we finished up that morning, but I promise to share the pictures as soon as I get them.

  18. Oh my goodness. Those two tiny heines all snuggled up together literally made my stomach flip and, for a split second, made me reconsider my "I'm done" status. They are so precious. Can't wait to see the photos. In the meantime, hang in there as you continue to roll with each day's new adventure.

  24. Truly God's miracles. I look forward to the pictures of these adorable twins.

The beginning months are so difficult with the lack of sleep, fuzzy brain status and being in a constant fog. I know it was for me even without having twins. But still enjoy them as best you can for they grow so quickly.

  26. Your little ones are too precious. When my youngest, now 3, was a newborn I tried to get my own adorable infant shots. I also had a load of laundry to do and I have tons of terrible shots of my child wailing and nude. Always hire a pro.

  27. SO special, Emily!! Love seeing this sneak peek ... and I cannot wait to see the shots. Oh, and I would totally do a 2 am feeding. All I need is a comfy chair ... and you can go on to dream land! After all, now that my kiddos are six, I've trained them to let me sleep in the morning!!
