My Sofa Pillows (and a great knock-off fabric)

Slowly making progress on our living room, and there’s nothing that gives  me fresh perspective like new pillows.  Here’s the most recent combo (and I’m feeling pretty happy about it) . . .

I started with the blue and white pillows that I had made from this fabric I found at a local fabric store:

Someone commented the other day that it looked like Windsor Smith’s Riad fabric in Indigo for Kravet.  It’s definitely a brighter blue, but what a cost savings if you compare:

(I wasn’t able to find any online sources that sold it for $9.98/yard like I paid, but the above link shows it for $19.99.  Still half price of the Kravet fabric.)

I bought the black and white pillows from another blogger who was cleaning out her stash.  They were originally outdoor pillows from Pottery Barn, and the fabric reminded me of the ever popular Betwixt fabric:

And, yes, I broke down and jumped on the Chiang Mai Dragon bandwagon and ordered pillows in the mocha color way.  I know it’s been seen everywhere on blogs but the combination of colors is still my favorite:

If you’re going to have this fabric in your home, this Ebay seller is the place to order the pillows.  I bought them for less than $40 each.  (You still can’t touch them on Etsy for much less than $100.)

And, wouldn’t you know, my new pillow combo inspired me to paint the back of those bookcases again.  From coral back to blue—this time in a peacock shade of Castile by Olympic Paint.  I know.  It never ends.

  30. So lovely!! I recently bought the Chiang Mai and Betwixt and although I was skeptical because of all the hype I really am in love. The quality of fabric may just make it so that I can never buy a cotton fabric again. Isn't it luxurious?
