Framed Placemats

A couple of months ago I won a giveaway on Rene’s blog for some cute burlap placemats from her Etsy shop:

Burlap Place Mats Set of Four (eat, chow, relish, nourish)

Since I knew they were destined to get trashed on our table, I opted to frame them for our kitchen instead:

I used inexpensive frames (with mats) from IKEA. I love the texture and simplicity of the placemats. . .

On another note, my sweet church friends threw me a baby shower yesterday.  I felt very special and am so appreciative of them.  And, I had to share a picture of these onesies that we received.  If you’ve seen pictures of my girls, you know these are perfect for my babies :)

  33. Omigosh I wish they had those Onesies when my girls were little! My 22 year old still likes a good hair bow and the 18 year old is a bowed headband girl.

I love putting those simple Ikea frames in a grouping, what a clever way to save "pretty" placemats!

  47. The placemat frames are adorable...where did you get the placemats? Those onsies are precious...how are your new little blessings doing?

  48. The color/pattern of the drapes is wonderful! What happens when all five kids are sitting at the table? There were 5 kids in our family and growing up (miitary dad) we weren't able to talk at dinner!! I'm sure it's a little more relaxed at your home. after all the work you've done, it's really something that everyone's talking about the framed placemats. I guess just because it's such a clever, simple and inexpensive art option. Cheers!
