It’s time for the second installment of my “Send Me A Picture” series. This time around, I asked a few bloggers to share pictures of one of their most personal spaces—their nightstand. Since it’s one of the first things you see in the morning and at the end of the day, I think this spot is really reflective of one’s personality and style. (Mine is currently covered with water bottles and Tums—I guess that says I’m thirsty and have pregnant heartburn. . .I’ll refrain from sharing the picture!)
SEND ME A PICTURE:
Your Nightstand
My "nightstand" is actually a coffee table I bought off craigslist. It was originally wood, but I spray painted it white to keep it more neutral and let the geometric pattern pop. While it's lacking in storage, its visually light which is essential in my very narrow room. I try to store stuff away from my bed and keep my nightstand pretty clean. It helps me relax!
Naomi Stein, Design Manifest
My nightstand is where I corral my most worn jewelry and keep notebooks on hand in case inspiration strikes! The sapphire foo dog from C. Wonder is a recent acquisition that I can't get enough of.
Mackenzie, Design Darling
With our busy schedules I try to keep the clutter to a minimum in the master bedroom to give us a place to relax.
Kristin Salazar, My Uncommon Slice of Suburbia
I'm a book lover so they win the fight for real estate on my night stand. Other than that, I need water and place to put my watch and rings. It's simple but it's kind of my little desert island.
Carol Smyth, Design Pages
There is always a journal or two and some pens on my nightstand because I like to write in them in bed. The other thing I always like to have on the nightstand is fresh flowers because I am NOT a morning person and seeing them first thing in the morning makes me just a little less grumpy! As for the rest, random things like jewelry and whatever I'm reading usually end up there at the end of the day too.

My nightstand sits in our master...the one room in the house that always seems to be at the bottom of our to-do list. For now, the table is home to a vintage swan lamp that I originally purchased as a pair. Sadly, its mate was broken when the moldings were put up so I hope to replace it with a matched pair...crossing fingers that I find a set that is similar and most definitely, pink ;) For now, this one sits on my bedside table, alongside a potted orchid, a few magazines, my iPhone and a jewelry 'catch-all' silver tray. And although not in this particular photograph, there's almost always either a coffee cup, wine glass or water glass there too ;)
Christine, Bijou and Boheme
My nightstand was a steal. (It was a whopping $40 from Pier 1) It's a brass finish with a glass top and it's the perfect height! I have two hanging lamps from Pottery Barn flanking either side of our bed and I LOVE that it frees up space on the nightstand. The embroidered black, flowery lampshade is from Anthropologie. It's the perfect amount of whimsy for our space and really adds a ton of color into the room. The mirror was picked up in Mexico on our honeymoon and is topped off with a few of my necklaces. My handsome Mister Husband is in the frame to the left (what a hunk, right!?), my nephew is that sweet baby in the middle and the last photo is of our wedding day. The clock is a gift from my sister and I LOVE it.
Laurel-Dawn, Abode Love
If I am honest, normally my nightstand looks more like my desk! I tend to work from my bed a lot so my nightstand drawers are filled with pens and highlighters and magazine clippings..I am definitely not the most organized person. Haha.
Amber, Amber Interiors (the blog)
This is my actual night stand. It's red and from IKEA and does its jobs really nicely. I love how it's really compact but still fits quite a lot of stuff. There's a shelf underneath where I store magazines and books and a small drawer for bits and bobs. I'm going to change it very soon. I'm all ready to tackle a DIY project and these will have to go. The looks will be completely different! I love the gold tray that keeps all my stuff organized. Everything looks better in a tray.

What an inspiration to get to work on making our bedroom a little more pretty, hubs will just go with it. Right now, I'm getting over a cold so there is a box of kleenex, a glass, my ugly digital clock and to make matters worse, I'm not a big fan of our night stands ....... can't wait to make a change!!!
