Right before Christmas, I was able to finish up a master bedroom project for my clients, Brooke and Mat, a fun couple who live in adorable house built in the 1940’s. This the room when we started:
It was a small space, leaving little creativity when it came to a floor plan. So, we moved out several pieces of furniture. . .
And, we made every inch count—including the ceiling, which was wallpapered in a natural grass cloth. We also replaced the ceiling fan with a pretty star pendant. The walls were painted a light aqua color, and fortunately, she told me in our initial meeting that she wasn’t afraid of a little orange :)
Remember the Edland chest I painted? It now serves as extra storage and a console for their TV.
(As a courtesy to my clients, I don’t share source information.)
Thanks to Brooke and Mat for letting me share your new room!

Welcome to my newest sponsors!

ReplyDeleteLove the room! Great job! I'm planning to get some pillows for our spare bedroom and am thinking of that same arrangement, although I'm not sure what the specific sizes I should order. I know you don't share your sources, but is it okay to ask what the measurements of those pillows are? Thanks so much! I always enjoy your blog and frequent it for inspiration!

ReplyDeleteThis room is fabulous!! Great job, Emily!
ReplyDeleteYou.Are.Amazing! That room is out of control cool, snd sophisticated, and full of personality. Thats what you excel at! And holy cow that light fixture makes the roomtwice as big! How do you lose a bedroom fan though?! My hubs will let me paint my DR pink, but would never let me take away the fan!!
ReplyDeleteOkay, you've put me over the edge. I've been eyeing that EBK seaglass diamond fabric for new seat covers and seeing it as you've gorgeously used it on the long bed pillow has convinced me to go for it. Of course, still have to buy the table/chairs off Craigslust (omg, that's my best typo of the New Year!)
ReplyDeleteBrilliant mix of fabrics, color and texture. Over the top!!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, that CEILING!! And the Moravian star pendant. Gorgeous. Emily, I really need to get off my duff and put your designs into place. You are amazing.
ReplyDeleteI am obsessed! The color palate is so warm and inviting. And the grasscloth on the ceiling looks awesome. That Edland in orange...obsessed!
ReplyDeleteThe master bedroom is among the focal points of a home and this is why careful planning is expected from home builders Missouri and the theme should be accepted by the client before they actually start on the problem. Many bank on appearance and furniture but it is important to focus on the comfort that the home owners will feel as they enter the room.
