For Those Already Mourning the Incandescent Bulb

Two family members sent me Christmas gift ideas for my dad after my post on the upcoming phase out of incandescent light bulbs . . . .

Do you think these would make him feel better? :)  I’m thinking actual light bulbs might be the best gift for him.

  4. I am *right there* with your dad. Nothing is the same as GE Reveal light bulb and I am totally depressed about it. I actually have a whiny blog post (in draft format only) about it, but I haven't pulled the trigger on it. ;-) I'm also stocking up ... and j'adore those bookends!

  6. Hi Emily-
We found the incandescent bulbs at Ace Hardware here in the northern burbs of Atlanta. They told us they will always carry them! So good to know because I HATE the new ones!

  9. Emily,
Check out this link for a DIY ornament from incandescent bulbs! You should make one for your dad- right up his alley! I got a good laugh from your previous light bulb post featuring your dad. Reminds me of my own dad!!!
