I love the lines of IKEA’s Edland series. (You may remember I used the dresser in a dining room here). I also love that IKEA prices make “makeovers” a little less scary. We recently painted the two-drawer chest for a client’s bedroom in a bright shade of orange.
And, a little surprise—I didn’t know the Edland chest came with a cute pattern inside already. . .
We’re also doing a hardware change and using these fun daisy knobs from Anthropologie:
Installing this bedroom soon and will share final pics then :)

Thats a great orange! I actually just did a post on orange! You might like it.

I've been debating whether to buy this same piece, paint it white and use it as a bedside table.
ReplyDeleteI'm happy to see someone else successfully paint it.
Oooh, I love the color! And I too love the Edland series! We have two pieces in our master! (I changed the knobs too!)

ReplyDeleteI adore this dresser! We currently use it in our dining room as a coffee bar, but it so versatile. I'm thinking it would be a great changing table in the future :)
ReplyDeleteI have been looking for two nightstands with drawers and feminine curved legs that balance our dark masculine bed. These seem perfect and I'd like to paint them a great gray color, but I've never painted furniture.
ReplyDeleteWould you share info on how you painted it? What paint did you use? Did you have to prep the piece before? Does it require sealing afterwards?
I'm always interested to see how people paint Ikea pieces! We got the Hemnes dresser in black/brown and the yellow stripes inside made me SO happy! It's the little things that makes us smile.
