I had a birthday today. (The mid-thirties kind.) It started with a 2-hour visit to the DMV to renew my license, followed by lots of emails and a few work-related “issues.” Fortunately, it ended with a small celebration with my family at home:
My husband was mad, however, that the store sold him a “defective number 3 candle.” I swear to you he really said that. He might get me for telling you that, but it gave me the laugh I needed after my long day.

Happy Birthday Beautiful!!!

ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! That is the best kind of treat. YUM! On my last trip to the DMV I got to sit & read a book for 2 hours which was actually kind of nice. The chair was uncomfortable and the company was questionable but the chance to sit & read was a rare occasion!

ReplyDeleteHappy, happy birthday!!!!! I know birthdays aren't celebrated with same amount of hoopla as they were when we were younger, but a night in with a box full of donuts and your family by your side, sounds like the perfect night to me!
ReplyDeleteThat is absolutely hilarious. Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteThat is really funny - I thought maybe one of your kiddos did that on purpose. Aw, the hubbies always try so hard don't they? I also just saw your vent post and it looks like you're doing some good camouflaging so far. If I were sitting in your office though that would drive me crazy too.
