Yes, it’s one of my (in)famous random Friday posts.

Are you familiar with the blog, Favorite Paint Colors? It’s a great resource if you are curious to see what a certain paint color will look like in a real-life room. My old master bedroom (painted in Benjamin Moore Silver Chain) was featured yesterday. The site divides paint colors in categories by color and by room for easy reference.
One of my blogging friends, Caitlin Wilson, just launched her own line of textiles and I am loving these fabrics. I predict they’ll be a huge hit!
And, last but not least, this idea in the latest issue of Country Living caught my eye. They created a big piece of artwork by attaching a series of old postcards to a canvas. I think I would try painting the whole canvas a bright color first for a fun “frame” around each of the postcards. (Etsy and Ebay are great resources for these.)
Have a great weekend. I’ll be sitting out in the cold cheering on my favorite 7-year-old soccer team :)

Those fabrics look amazing! I love that website, but I could get sucked in so easily looking at millions of different paint colors. I have to monitor myself ;)
ReplyDeleteThose fabrics are BEAUTIFUL! Might be a good place to get fabric for some curtains...hmmm :) Enjoy the soccer game! Bring gloves and hot chocolate!
ReplyDeleteI totally want to check out some sexah pillows, but your "Caitlin Wilson" link actually goes to "My Favorite Paint Colors". Thanks!

ReplyDeleteThat canvas art is a great idea! I think I would like to make something similar but using my own pictures from vacations my husband and I have taken together. If I printed the pictures in the sepia tone, and had a dark background, I think I could get the same effect. I love personal pictures, and this would be a great way to display many at one time. THANKS!
ReplyDeleteI love that bedroom, and the fabrics are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI know I shouldn't even think about rushing this precious time, but I cannot WAIT to spend my Saturdays on the soccer/baseball/football field. Yay for boys!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I could analyze paint colors for hours on end, this will be a great new time suck for my life. :-)
