I received this idea in my inbox and had to share. Amy bought these “leatherette” bar stools in white from Overstock (less than $170 for a pair!) and stenciled a great design on them, using paint especially made for leather.
Here’s how they turned out:
Her whole kitchen is fantastic! I love that gray secretary in the nook.
You can find all of the details for this project on Amy’s blog, The Casablanca Transformation.

Brilliant idea! painting on the faux leather is a wonderful way to make them custom and luxe. Love it!

Those chairs turned out AMAZING! Even at such a good deal, I would have been afraid to paint them. Kudos to her for taking a risk that real paid off. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI really can not believe those are painted! Really looks good and I love that gray secretary in there! Thanks for sharing this post.
ReplyDeleteWOW! Those chairs are gorgeous! Such a huge transformation---and it is hard to believe that it is paint. Gorgeous.

AMAZING!!! It really is! I'm a huge fan of leather for stools because they're so easy to clean, but they can also be boring. She changed that!
ReplyDeleteI hope everything is great with you, my friend.

ReplyDeleteAmazing!!! I'm in the market for new barstools, and this idea just allows for endless options!
ReplyDeleteThat little touch of mustard just makes those chairs, right? I would never think to do something like that, much less actually do it. Gorgeous kitchen, great share!
ReplyDeleteI love her kitchen, but I feel like that pattern is going to look very dated very soon. (I know it's a "timeless" pattern, but it looks a little 80s there. Maybe it's the yellow.) Otherwise, everything is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteMy gosh, they came out great! What a transformation.
ReplyDeleteWow! What a transformation. I love the color and pattern!
