Blogger: Holly of Holly Mathis Interiors
Now:

And Then. . .
What makes me cringe when I look back:
SO MANY PILLOWS..I SIMPLIFIED THIS BED BETWEEN THIS PHOTO AND THE LAST BECAUSE I LOVED THE GUINEVERE PATTERN BUT IT FINALLY HAD TO GO..
What I love most about my home now:
IT FEELS LIGHTER AND SIMPLER, MORE SOOTHING, I THOUGHT THE DARK COLORS AND MULTIPLE PRINTS AND PILLOWS WERE COZY BUT AT THIS STAGE IN LIFE KIDS AND MORE WORK AND CLUTTER, LESS IS MORE AND I LOVE THE SIMPLER AND CLEAN (FOR ME) NEW LOOK.
The biggest influence on my evolving style has been:
MY ALL TIME BIGGEST INFLUENCE IS THE MOVIE “OUT OF AFRICA” WITH THE BRITISH COLONIAL, COLLECTED AND SOMEWHAT SHABBY STYLE. LATELY, OF COURSE, BLOGS ARE A HUGE INFLUENCE AND HAVE HELPED ME FRESHEN MY STYLE WITH A TOUCH OF MODERN AND CLEAN. MY FAMILY AND THE WAY WE LIVE WITH SMALL CHILDREN IS ALSO A HUGE INFLUENCE.
…..
A big thanks to Holly for participating in this series! And, a little side note—Holly’s beautiful blog was recently nominated as one of three decorating blogs for the Country Living Blue Ribbon Blogger Awards! Love! I couldn't help but notice the artwork on the walls behind Holly's picture. Are those stacked antique enamalware pie tins that are framed? Genius.
