Blogger: Megan of Honey We're Home

Then. . .
I'm going to share with you some really pathetic photos of the living room I inherited when I moved in with my hubby when we were first married. He had a typical bachelor pad- completely undecorated with a matchy sofa set and big t.v. In his defense, he's color blind and works a lot! :)After I moved in, we rearranged the furniture, painted the walls, added new lamps, coffee tables, lamps and a plant. We added drapes too, but I couldn't find a picture with them.
The drapes are a favorite of mine- found the fabric at High Fashion Home and had them made. (Do they remind you of the drapes in Emily's previous breakfast room?:)
And I just got new lamps:
So much lighter and brighter!
Thanks for having me Emily! This was so much to take a walk down memory lane!

I love this series. I cringe when I look at pictures of our first apartment; I'm glad that designers I enjoy reading are the same way. It gives me hope :-)
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love this series. Her changes are awesome...and the new house she lives in? Beautiful! That staircase is amazing. I also love her curtains.....and the open, light and airy feel of the room.
ReplyDeleteI love her home. I discovered her blog when she revealed her closet. Which is uber cute!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to finish ALL the work going on in my home.

I have lived through many "now and then" moments; I guess there are lot of those moments for a lot of people - always great to look back to truly appreciate the changes one has made. Thank you for sharing!

I couldn't help myself and had to giggle when I thought back to my husband'd bachelor pad! Could be similar pics! I adore Megan and she has done an amazing job in transforming her beautiful home. She has such great taste and her home so gorgeous.

His bachelor pad was sooo not bad! He had crown molding, wooden floors and guitars! (extra points for those!) If you saw Danny's bachelor pad before we were married (with 2 other guys) your eyes would burn and never see the same again. Let's just say they had a big torn up salmon pink recliner. Yeah.
ReplyDeleteThe kitchen looks fabulous! Such a change in so little time. I know that you are enjoying every changes you've made..
ReplyDeleteI love her blog and style, so fun to take a look back :) Happy new year to you both!
