Charlotte Bloggers Meet-Up at High Cotton

A couple of weeks ago, I attended a fun blogger event and am finally getting around to sharing pictures from the night.  It was held at High Cotton Home Company, a new furniture & accessory store at 2137 South Blvd. in Charlotte.  I had the chance to meet some new-to-me bloggers and finally put "a face with a blog" for others.

Bloggers pictured above are Mr. Goodwill Hunting, Eat Drink & Decorate, SuperChyc, and yours truly :)

I had such a great time catching up with Rashon, "Mr. Goodwill Hunting" himself.  He has such a warm personality, and it was fun to hear about all of the exciting things he has on the horizon.  (He's hosting a huge "I <3 Thrifting" day on July 9th in cities across the country.  Read all of the details here.)

This is Melissa Lamkin, a super fun stylist in Charlotte that I've had the pleasure of meeting before.  (And, some spooky shadow . . . )

I also got to see my blog buds, Aleigh of Wow! Goodwill and Rachel of Rachel Sutherland Communications (she did a great job of organizing the event!).  Both of them were adament that their pictures not appear on the blog :)  So, for now, they will remain undercover. . . (kind of).  Can you spot them in this picture?

This is Rodney Hines, owner of High Cotton.  He was a fun host and I enjoyed hearing about his plans for the store.  They're going to have a fun mix of new and refurbished pieces.  (He's even hiring a couple of "pickers" to scout out unique pieces for the shop--sounds like a fun job to me!)

Of course, I had to sneak away to take some pictures of the store while I was there.  Here are some of my favorite things I saw:

This was my favorite vignette--tufted headboard, bedding, chair, all of it!

Makes me want to spray a simple mirror in this bright coral shade. . . .

Thanks High Cotton and all of the Charlotte bloggers who attended for such a fun night!

  13. BOYCOTT AMERICAN WOMEN
Why American men should boycott American women

    http://boycottamericanwomen.blogspot.com/

I am an American man, and I have decided to boycott American women. In a nutshell, American women are the most likely to cheat on you, to divorce you, to get fat, to steal half of your money in the divorce courts, don’t know how to cook or clean, don’t want to have children, etc. Therefore, what intelligent man would want to get involved with American women?

American women are generally immature, selfish, extremely arrogant and self-centered, mentally unstable, irresponsible, and highly unchaste. The behavior of most American women is utterly disgusting, to say the least.

This blog is my attempt to explain why I feel American women are inferior to foreign women (non-American women), and why American men should boycott American women, and date/marry only foreign (non-American) women.

    BOYCOTT AMERICAN WOMEN!

  15. Definitely agree with what you stated. Your explanation was certainly the easiest to understand. I tell you, I usually get irked when folks discuss issues that they plainly do not know about. You managed to hit the nail right on the head and explained out everything without complication. Maybe, people can take a signal. Will likely be back to get more.furniture manufacturers
