Just some pretty pictures for you today. I've been on a navy kick for a while now, but lately, I feel myself pulled more and more to a brighter shade of blue. Peacock blue, that is. . . (especially when it comes to upholstery).
It was
"the Nester" who earlier this week was just talking about how God is the Master at putting colors together. Well, isnt't that the truth?! We design-types think we're so smart when we come up with a great color scheme, but in actuality, God has really laid it all out for us already. We just have to be smart enough to pay attention to it. Take the colors of the peacock, for example, and how stunningly rich they are when translated into a room:

These photos are gorgeous. It's so true though, the best color schemes I think are found in nature (thank you God). : ) No question. That is actually how I found my color scheme for my wedding--literally running with my pups one day--the sky and trees were beautiful. My wedding colors were blue (navy), green and ivory.
ReplyDeleteoooh...That last space is being saved in my files as soon as I leavre this comment! Love these colors!

I was so close to doing my bedroom in peacock colors. They are beautiful. I went with purple, but I'm really loving the blues and greens together. Great photos!
ReplyDeleteI'm obsessed with this colour- in velvet especially- just divine and that dinning room with the lucity sputnik light fixture might be my favourite space ever!!
ReplyDeleteLovely color!! I love the dark navy blue sofa!
ReplyDeleteI love that first peacock image! I wanted to blow it up huge for my living room because I love the color palate so much...couldn't find an image with enough resolution to go huge but I loved this peacock-inspired post!
ReplyDeleteLove this! The earth and sky are why I love blue & green together so much. And storms in the summertime when the sky is gray and the green leaves turn over - love that. Using nature for color inspiration is fool proof.
ReplyDeleteAmen sister!! ;) Gorgeous post!
ReplyDeleteYes ma'am! Loving those colors together, loving your witness! :)
ReplyDeletePeacock blue has always been my favorite!! So so pretty. Right now I'm looking for a solid peacock blue pillow and a solid emerald pillow and they are soooo hard to find!
ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS images! Love how you tied them to the peacock - so cool!

ReplyDeleteLove love love this post! Especially because my own living room scheme is inspired by the vibrant blues and green of the peacock. :) That House Beautiful image with the light blue walls is exactly what I'm going for... been trying to decide whether to go with a grey or green sofa!
