For those of you in Charlotte, you may have already had the chance to stop by Slate Interiors. It's a fun marketplace of unique accessories and furniture, with lots of the individual booths ran by local artists and designers. Fortunately, I had a client appointment nearby last week and got to do a quick run-through for the first time.
I, of course, remembered to take pictures for you all, but apparently didn't clean the teeny lens on my new phone very well. If you could only see the inside of my purse, you would know there's a whole buffet of things that could've smeared my lens (gum, fruit snacks, lip gloss, a random chicken nugget. . . the possibilities are endless). All of this to say, sorry for the crummy pics. Hope you will squint and enjoy some of my "favorite finds" anyway :)
I need a red table in my house. This pair would make such a great coffee table.
They had this oversized sconce in their booth. It would be such a fun alternative to a bedside lamp in a small guest room.
I really liked this little layered flower mirror.
And, I think I have a slight (fake) bird obsession. I didn't buy it, but it was only $20, and I'm thinking it would've liked to have lived on my entry table. . .
This big sea fan/bowl was such a great statement piece. Love it flanked by the shell art.
Just another grainy picture for my files to remind me I want to do this to a mirror someday. . .
And, dang if the darkest picture wasn't of my favorite piece. It's hard to tell, but this pendant was beautiful. Would love to have it in my "someday" house.
I love these simple dog sketches. Wonder if I could do these or something similar?
Another beautiful light fixture--and this also makes me want to try my hand at abstract art even more. Someday, when the kids are grown, when I have more time, yada yada yada :)
If you're close to Charlotte, you should definitely stop by Slate and see for yourself. If you're too far to visit, I promise to take my papparazi-size camera next time--and a lens cloth.

I could get into serious trouble there! Looks like it worth the drive. Happy weekend Emily!
ReplyDeleteLove the looks of this place! Is it all new/some new/some vintage/all vintage? Couldn't figure that out...neat pieces, though...and conveniently not that far from WS!! :)

Great pieces. It's also nice to support local artist as their creation are unique and I believe the prices are more reasonable. I hope there are places like that in our area. I've been looking for a nice and hopefully not that expensive room lighting fixture for my daughter's place. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWow, I wish I lived closer so I could visit that store - it looks like they have some amazing stuff...I loved the bird - surprised it was only $20. So many beautiful pieces!
