Although I love writing about my projects or ideas that have grabbed my attention, I've been thinking about adding a more interactive series on a (somewhat) regular basis. I get lots of emails asking for design advice and wish I could answer them all. Since that's not possible, I thought it would be fun to highlight one design dilemma a week and give you my two cents worth on how I would solve it.
And, because there's lots of you out there with great ideas, I thought it would be fun for you to also leave your ideas in the comment section. Even better, feel free to blog about the original problem and your clever solution, and leave the link to your post in the comments.
An online project where we added more color to the room. I blogged about it here.
Have a design dilemma you want me to address? I'm looking for more general questions (or issues that alot of us have) so that I can hopefully help a broader range of readers. For example, I probably won't be posting on a specific paint color to go with your one-of-a kind mauve sofa. . . :)
To submit your design question, please use "WWYD Wednesdays" in the subject line, and email it, along with 1-2 clear photos, to:
info at emilyaclark.com
Although we won't be able to respond to each email individually, you'll be contacted if your question is chosen for an upcoming post.
(Fingers crossed that this is a good idea!)

Great idea, Emily! Can't wait to see all the inspiration that flows here. :)
ReplyDeleteSince I am the owner of that amazingly colorful living room, where I am happily sitting right now, I can attest to your ability to amazingly answer design questions. This should be a really great post series. :)
ReplyDeleteI just love the living room picture in this post! The Keep Calm poster could have been left out, for my taste, however I understand it! :) I've been wanting that poster SOMEWHERE in or around my home, but can't decide where! Thinking about the patio?
ReplyDeleteI love your style & your blog!
So interesting how the modern feeling pillows give an otherwise very traditional old school feeling room such a fresh new feeling.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great idea Emily - I'm looking forward to Wednesdays over here!

I love this. I've thought about doing the same thing... and still may... but, kick it off with dilemmas that people have already written me about (as I don't have as many followers as you). Can't wait for the series!

ReplyDeleteYea, what a great, great idea! I might have to ask some questions sometime!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea, Emily, as long as you have the time to devote. I would guess that these Wed sessions might eat up the clock on your part though many of your readers would learn a lot about design and exploring ways to address similiar problems in their own homes. Very generous of you.
ReplyDeleteI will be following every Wednesday, you always have inspirational ideas. Design Savvy of NJ.blogspot.com!
ReplyDeleteLove that room- how gorgeous! I'd love to see a post on rugs. I'm having such a hard time finding the perfect rugs for our open floor plan.
