Home Improvements?

Maybe I have a bad case of spring fever, but I've been rearranging furniture and lamps (and whatever else I can get my hands on like it's nobody's business).  Once I start, it's hard to stop, and one mess leads to another. . . .

This was the state of my "improvement" as of yesterday mid-morning:

I'm making progress--if you want to call it that.  My living room got a new paint job, we switched the sofas, the lamps moved in from the den, and I'm still trying to figure out if I want to keep that armoire.  (A piano is most likely in our future. . . )  I also have pictures and window treatments left to hang.

In the spirit of spring cleaning, I'm also ready to move out the pieces I'm no longer using.  I listed some things on Craigslist last night, including our red chair and ottoman and this round ZGallerie coffee table (sorry for the old, fuzzy picture).  Fingers crossed for a speedy sale by the weekend!

  12. I love it, yes we've all been there. In fact there are random spring decorating objects lying around my foyer and living room right now too :-)

By the way, I like your white shelves with the blue inside and that carpet, where is it from? I'm on the hunt for a living room rug.

  15. Ha! When I undertake something big (usually revolving around cleaning), it always gets MUCH worse right before it gets awesome. :-)

I wish you could just sell me that blue rug! I have a hunch you're keeping it though. Hmmmph.

  16. I love that rearranging/redesign thing, but you're right it's a domino effect where all a sudden you need to redo every room! But it's so worth it. Your new room looks amazing!

  17. Did you previously post a source for the navy chevron pillow - I have been searching for weeks for fabric like that to cover some pillows!

    Thanks!

  18. Oh that's right! You are having company this weekend. Nothing like having people over to make you get things done around the house you have wanted to do forever! (giggle) I am sooo guilty of that! One of my sons didn't want to have a graduation party because he didn't want to help redo the backyard like we did for the others!! hehe!
