If Only I Needed Another Mirror. . .

I would buy this one:

It was designed by Ty Pennington and is available here.  It also comes in silver leaf:

It's big, and I would love to use it somewhere, sometime. . .

And, it's a great alternative to this beauty I spotted hanging in designer Kerrie Kelly's powder room on Houzz:

(This image also solidifies my decision to re-paint "the yellow powder room" dark gray.  I've been on the fence for a while, but I just fell off.)

  6. Very nice mirror. I love gray rooms. I tried to paint our last powder room gray but it turned out perwinkle which I hated but left because it was a weird room and hard to paint. I prefer this dark gray so much more, it's gorgeous.

  10. I have a passion for mirrors and this one's a beauty! My house is full of smaller sometimes awkward spaces (thanks, late 70's construction!) so I'm always on the lookout for ways to visually expand it. The alternative is knocking out walls. :)

  11. I'm also loving the charcoal walls. I guess the secret is having enough light-colored elements to balance it so it's not "the dark bathroom". So, so pretty.

  12. One can never have enough mirrors! My favorite isle at HomeGoods or TJMaxx is the mirror isle! Mirrors have a tendency to give you great ideas even if you dont purchase them. I look forward to your bathroom update!

  16. Love that image of her bath as well. I just painted my bedroom a dark grey. We love it!! Powder room is next. You should be able to score that mirror's look on the cheap. Have fun on the hunt!

  17. Those mirrors are great, but I'm dying over that black grasscloth (?) in the powder room--so dramatic and unexpected!

  25. I love this mirror so much! But I also don't need another mirror. Need is totally subjective, but one also has to have a place to put it - and I don't. So sad.

  27. Emily, I'd love to see you do a post on the number of mirrors you can get away with in a room. If you have a pair that are alike and balanced that's one thing, but is it gauche to have more than one if they are different?

  29. Love that mirror! It is so close to the inspiration photo but I'm sure it far more friendly on my wallet!

I'm right there with you on the gray wall in the bathroom! I just repainted mine last weekend in Martha Stewart's Magnetite. It's still a work in progress but here are a few pics of the before and after!

  33. perfectly timed post. I'm on the hunt for a mirror to put above the fireplace. I just found your blog, so I don't know if you've posted this before, but have you ever posted anything about your favorite places to shop in and around Charlotte?
