I've Fallen in Love. . .

With this fabric.

And, I'm 99% sure it's going in my youngest daughter's room once she's outgrown her nursery.  I'm envisioning lots of this pattern on a tall upholstered headboard, similar to this look:

I've already ordered this fun yellow fabric by Premier Prints for the curtains (at an incredible price right now, btw!).  I also plan to use the green rug she has in her room now.

I'm definitely not rushing her out of the crib, but can't wait to get started on this project.

In other news. . . Catch my interview on the Wandering Airstream blog.  I recently did a quick Q&A for the site.  Tiffany and her husband reside in Charlotte but are soon leaving "it all" to go on the road full time in their painted Airstream, nicknamed Eddie. Their web site will document their adventures and highlight the towns and people they meet along the way.

  1. That Josef Frank headboard is one of my favourites of all time- ADORE it! I also love the print you have fallen for and think it will make an amazing headboard. She's a lucky girl!

  2. It looks beautiful with the yellow fabric. I own that same rug and was planning to sell it on Craigslist. I may just need to rethink my plan now that I see how great it looks combined with the fabrics you chose.

  9. That's some gorgeous fabric! I love how it's not ultra girly -- quite vintage and fun! I can't wait to see what you do with it :)

  10. That is a great fabric find, for sure! And, I think you are going to love the yellow fabric. The weight of it is really great for curtains. I just used that same fabric for my crib skirt, and for an ottoman that I am posting about tomorrow. The scale of the pattern was slightly bigger than I expected, but it has really grown on me.

  14. Oh, great combo on the fabric! I am in process of creating a big ol' headboard like that for my daughter's room--with a paisley fabric, though. And I just ordered that same fabric from Premier last week. :) Can't wait to see your finished room!

  20. I just bought that same fabric at the fabric store for $7/m! I am making throw pillows for my living room sofa! Isn't it great fabric? It would look fab as a headboard. I am thinking of making drapes with it as well or just adding them as a band of fabric on the current drapes.

I showed it my fabric purchases on my blog just last week:

  23. That fabric is divine! I'm in love with a similar new one from Callico Corners, but now I need to consider this one!

How fun to travel around in an Airstream?!?! I wonder how long my family and I would last?

  26. Oh my gosh. I love that fabric so much, too. I had some custom European shams made out of it this summer. Just finished painting my bedroom this past weekend and put them on my bed Sunday. What a coincidence. You will love it. A very happy fabric.

  27. That fabric combo will look great with the rug. I have a ways to go before thinking about a "big boy room" and I really hope he won't insist on something too theme-y. My friend's son wanted each wall in his room painted a different color to represent all the Boston sports teams!
