I love looking through designer portfolios online and was recently awed by this one. I recently "met" Karla of
Kerrisdale Designs through way of blogging. She is a designer and artist based out of British Columbia and I think her portfolio is a beautiful, classic example of how "less is more."
For more on Karla's work, you can visit her blog

Stunning - simple, but elegant and tasteful!

ReplyDeleteThese pictures are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love all the black through out these looks!
ReplyDeleteModern and classic at the same time. I'll never get tired of dark wood floors and white walls. The pops of pattern are nice, too.
ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan of Karla... her design-style is lovely and elegantly refined with its contemporary line. Love her use of neutral tones with hits of purposeful colour.

Love her style, it's the design equivalent of a well tailored suit with beautiful accessories.
ReplyDeleteI love it, it's so real and warm
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I love that artwork above the sofa in the first pic.
ReplyDeleteOh, I will definitely have to go and check the blog out! The images you show are amazing!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I like the serenity of these rooms and they also look comfortable and real.
ReplyDeleteLove the U2 poster/collage!! I'm a huge fan and had big posters on my dorm room walls, but those just didn't translate to a more adult space. Somehow it works really well here, though.
