I started by hanging this mirror smack in the middle. It was a HomeGoods purchase that had been sitting around, not being used, for way too long. I thought a a mirror might lighten the dark wall up a bit.
No rhyme or reason here. I chose my next biggest frame (a beautiful vintage typewriter photograph by Stefanie) and hung it above the mirror to add some height to this display. Then, I chose three of my favorite photographs of the kids and started working my way out.
I tried to find the right mix of family photographs and artwork. I bought the dragonfly sketch from Etsy.
The finished product:

This is looking just fabulous, the campaign dresser...I could go on and on, what a great piece. Love the lamps and the peek of fabric is looking great!! Can't wait to see the drapes hung. Enjoy your weekend! Janell
Love it! And i love how the black and white and gray play off the beautiful green of the dresser.
Thanks for including some of my photos!
Omg, is that fabric Flowering branch by Braemore? Just bought some to reupholster a small french chair. Can't wait to see your office - I know I will love it!
I really like the combo of art + photos, and that black & white ties them all together. The display complements the bright green dresses and doesn't compete with it.
Oh how I wish I had your eye. And oh how I wish I lived in the area, because I so would be calling you to accessorize with me. I can do the big things. It's the little things I struggle with.
Can't wait to see the drapes. I'm going to try and post my finished laundry room next week. I need to get it to the finished point. That's the challenge!
High five girl! Great job! And yes, I see that beautiful fabric in the mirror. Those drapes are going to make me sing when I see them!
Still loving your campaign dresser too!

I'm loving how this tunred out. I can't wait to see the drapes! Have a good weekend.
Wow, your gallery wall looks beautiful! I just love everything...wall color, lamps, frames, pictures. Well done:)
I was doing an art wall recently and layed it all out on craft paper, traced the frames and used to hang. Once it was up it looked so contrived that I ended up doing what you did. Just going with your gut and instincts is sometimes the best thing It looks fabulous!
Looks divine! Great gallery wall!
Love love love it! It turned out fabulous. And the paint color in your room is stunning. It's neat to know that even though it seems intimidating to start a grouping like this, it all comes down to what looks right to your eye! So pretty :)

Looks spectacular! LOVE that green.
Love it! That color from the window treatments will be perfect!
Really looks great! I adore b&w photos and you've framed them beautifully. Also great that you mixed photos with mirrors and typography.
love love love! Its the perfect gallery wall and its even better over the green dresser!
I recently purchased a white ceramic seashell and I just can't decide what to do with it. I was considering using it in the kitchen, maybe to hold napkins or condiments, but that just seemed tacky. If you had one, what would you do with it? (LOVE your blog, by the way!)
