Hoping this will break up some of the blue and white of the chairs:
I also have some wall space to fill in the room. It just happens to be one of the first things you see when you walk into our home so I want something that will make a big impact visually. I had been thinking of a gallery of some type, when one of my online clients sent me a picture of some botanicals she recently framed for her guest bedroom:
I had never even considered botanicals for this space, but the colors seem to be just right. Better yet? You can buy the entire 300-page book of these from Amazon for around $30 and frame them yourself.
And more beautiful botanical gallery inspiration (in case I wasn't already convinced. . . )

Thanks for the suggestion about the book of botanicals from Amazon. What a great, affordable solution for filling up those large expansive walls.
ReplyDeleteYour dining room is going to be so pretty! I can't wait to see what you do with it.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea doing botanicals! I love the prints in the 5th picture, the office, I would love to see that whole wall!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see which ones you frame!
Thanks for the Amazon tip, but have you tried vintage Printable? http://vintageprintable.com/
ReplyDeleteI LOVE botanicals! Thanks for all the beautiful images. Can't wait to see your progress in the dining room. I think the green panels would be perfect with the blue of the chairs, and botanicals would be just the right accent. Have a great day!

OMG Emily! I was getting ready to do this in my bedroom! Well, as soon as the book comes! I must get this book for another room. The pictures and colors are amazing!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see your dining once you finish this project! Oh, and the curtains would add just the right pop that you need!
I have always loved botanical prints. They are classic yet seem so modern, too! Can't wait to see your finished dining room - I know I will love it!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of green panels with your blue & white chairs! So fresh, bright & vibrant. Love your client's bedroom wall! Can't wait to see what you do!
ReplyDeleteIt's going to be fabulous! Check out the online digital gallery at New York Public Library (a tip that I got from Jenny at Little Green Notebook). All images are free and printable. I printed some butterfly prints and used matted 8x10 Target frames for a gallery wall. Good luck -- can't wait to see the finished product!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the green and that wallpaper in the first image is spectacular!
ReplyDeleteThe book idea is great, pick and choose what you want. Botanical art is so timeless! Janell
ReplyDeleteAnother excellent resource for botanical prints is the New York Public Library. You can either print out the pictures you want or buy them from the library. They have some amazing stuff.

Another cool book that I found via i suwannee is http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/8186211926?ie=UTF8&force-full-site=1 - this book has a 'darker' side of botanicals - they all have a darker background. Cool if you want moody botanicals :)
ReplyDeleteThose prints would look so pretty in your dining room!
ReplyDeleteThese all look so great--and they never get old!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by yesterday!! I love this post - and I especially love the dining room with the green elements and the wonderful hanging crystal chandy!!!!
