I've used beans as an accessory in my home for years (think I first saw it in a Pottery Barn catalog). They're cheap, come in warm colors and add great texture:
(I also love the smell of coffee beans for candle holders, although I don't always splurge on these.)
And leave it to Martha to come up with bigger and better ways to decorate with beans by using them to jazz up these frames:
Oooo! Loving this! Might try something like this in the next day or so. Especially the frame idea on my gallery wall of solid-colored frames. Thanks, Emily!
I hate beans, but now that I see them used for decorative purposes and not for eating, they're growing on me! They look great in your vase, and the frame idea is very cute.
I have a glass vase with sticks just yours that I use split peas in for spring and summer. I almost posted about it today. I love those frames what a neat idea.
Ok, so I've stalked your blog for some time now:) and i absolutely LOVE your daughters room!Would you mind telling me what size polka dots you used for her pink wall? i want to try and do the same(Pink wall) in my daughters room... Love all your posts!!
I get MSL (I think after blueprint got cancelled? or maybe it was something more recent...) and I'm always amazed at her craft ideas. I always tag them but unfortunately never seem to get around to doing any of them....
I love your bean idea. I bet the coffee beans with the candle holders do smell terrific. I'll definitely have to try this. We've bought some coffee that ended up being not so great so this will be a guilt-free way of getting rid of it :) Marija

If I saw those frames with the bean trim I probably wouldn't have noticed what exactly the trim was. These are beautiful, what a great idea! Janell
