You may remember a while back, Oprah ran a contest for some of the best decorated houses in America that weren't decorated by actual designers. Part of their prize? Nate showed up at their front door (good enough for me!). One of the winners of the "Knock Knock, It's Nate" contest was Beverly Hills designer (and very new mom at the time) Jenn Feldman.
Although this aired a year or so ago, it is still one of my favorites and one of the episodes I have locked on my Tivo so that I can go back and watch again and again.
I like how she mixed the formality of the dining room with her own black and white photographs in white frames:
One of my very favorite living rooms. Love the artwork. The rug came from JCPenney.
She also made several wall galleries throughout her home by buying photography books and photography cd's and framing the images herself.
Aaaahhh, that light fixture:
Jenn has since opened her own Beverly Hills-based interior design business (as she should have!). Thanks for re-living this Oprah episode with me :)

Wow, awesome. I never saw that episode but I will see if I can check it out. I love that light above her table also!

LOVED that episode too!! I studied her rooms! Fun to relive - great post!
ReplyDeleteHow did I miss this episode?!?! Absolutely gorgeous home. Somehow though it feels unfair -- a woman with this good of taste doesn't NEED Nate Berkus.
ReplyDeleteI loved that Oprah episode and that issue of O at Home. Her house was incredible and I love that lucite table.
ReplyDeleteEven though I tivo Oprah everyday, somehow I missed this (despite said tivo, don't always watch). So thank you so much for posting it, she is amazing. Really love her home (and Nate)!

I did not know she had her own firm now, I am off to check out her site. I am jealous you still have the episode on Tivo. Did you know that Janell from Isabella & Max rooms was a finalist for the feature?
I look forward to following your blog.
I figured I'll leave a comment before I get lost in your blog! I remeber this episode and I love her! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI found you from Life and Style this morning (Dayka's blog). I can't wait to see what you do with the bookcase that you purchased for $40!
