Tell me I'm not the only one drowning in artwork by my kids that I can't throw away but I don't know what to do with. . . After seeing stacks of "keepers" sitting in my office floor for months, I finally took the initiative to frame some. A few of my favorites:
Now, where to hang them?
I'm liking these displays, but would love to hear other ideas you might have.
Elle Decor
Isabella & Max Rooms
Metropolitan Home
I don't know this family, but they look like alot of fun :) And, I love the artwork against the dark wall:
Oregon Live
And, finally, although this isn't used for kid's art, I like the idea of clipboards for quick changes:
Mondo Cherry blogspot
And, on another kid-related note, I just entered my model-wannabe in Old Navy's SuperModelQuin Search. We took this picture last summer, and I had to enter it when I heard about the contest. We're only 15,000 votes behind the leader so we could use a little help if you want to vote here :)

I dont have kids, but I think this is such a cute idea!
ReplyDeleteWell, you know I'm in that boat with you - I have about four plastic totefuls! :)
ReplyDeleteOhhhh, I love that clipboard idea! How neat! And I really love those paintings of the family members on (what looks like) canvases. That's giving me an idea for our house.
I have that IKEA curtain wire and I love it because it's hard to find time to get things framed, but I can hang their artwork on it temporarily to keep them safe and can easily switch things up!
Maybe you could hang your frames with Bendaroos...those seem to be the current fascination at our house and they stick to everything (kidding!). :)
Such a cute idea! I love them in the frames. I was going to recommend Janell's blog as an inspiration, but you already found it!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what you do.
What great ideas!
ReplyDeleteI love that Elle Decor room -- I've actually been thinking about hanging shelving around our breakfast nook in the same manner for a rotating art gallery. The casualness seems really appropriate for the space, don't you think?
ReplyDeleteReally love the clipboard idea, and the one with the wire.
ReplyDeleteAw, I really like the dining nook from Elle Decor. It seems like such an inspiring place to have the first meal of the day. But the clothesline idea is neat too, that way you can rotate newer pieces in.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, you have such an amazing sense of style! I'm so glad I came across your blog.
Your little girl is so adorable! I just headed over to vote for her!
ReplyDeleteI just voted! Good Luck, she is so stinkin cute!
ReplyDeleteOh and I love the idea of framing kids art. I painted w/ my nephew (on canvas) I just love his painting, its framed on my wall!
It'll be a while before my munchkin-to-be is making his own artwork, but I'm bookmarking this page nonetheless. Great ideas to make a kid feel special!
ReplyDeleteOh, love hanging kids art. Max right now has completely covered the wall in our kitchen nook with his art, using looonnnggg strips of tape. :) I should post a photo of that technique!! Thanks for including me in your post! The photo of the family is really great, the white frames, very colorful art against the dark walls, stunning...Janell
ReplyDeleteLOOOVE kid's art! I read a tip a long time ago that I really liked--give your child markers/crayons in the color scheme of the room where you want to display their art, and not only will it match, but it will be custom--Avery loves it when we display her masterpieces ; )
ReplyDeleteLove to see KIDS art displayed neatly in frames... :))
