Here is the idea board for the room:

The client wanted to add some punches of color to the pale pink & brown scheme she had already started with the bedding and paint color. I found this antique desk for just $55 (I was able to get a little off the original price tag; it never hurts to ask!).
We brightened it up by painting it a fun grass green.
The client also had an older brown dresser that she wasn't in love with but that she needed to incorporate in the room. The solution: add a big focal point over the dresser to draw attention away from it. I instantly thought of this mirror from Lamps Plus:

Unfortunately, it didn't fit as well into the budget as it did into the room. So, the Craigslist search began. I found this, and my client was able to purchase it for only $35:

Which, with some glossy white spray paint, became my favorite find for the room:
