I didn't realize it was a file cabinet at first and just thought it had great lines. But the real reason it caught my eye: the price. Only $25! This must have been some serious Office Depot overstock. I later went home and checked their web site and they had it listed for $255 original price. (It's now on sale for $137, which is still a pretty good deal for a large side table--or file cabinet.)
After racking my brain on where I could use one (or two) in my house, it finally hit me that they would be the perfect fit for a client's bedroom. She has a huge room and needed something with some bulk on both sides of the bed. And, we were looking for something to paint. . .
A couple of coats of paint and a hardware change later, I think they are a lovely addition to the room. Best of all, she now has lots of bedside storage.

Wow, what a find. I love the paint color and the hardware makes them look expensive. I might have to see if my Big Lots has any. I'll bet your client loved them!

You've got a great eye. Wonderful job.
ReplyDeleteI need to get myself to a Big Lots. I LOVE painting furniture, and well, anything. Too bad it's freezing here and it's supposed to be done between 50-90 degrees. : (
ReplyDeleteGreat job!
